What Items Are Not Allowed in the Balloon?
Your safety is our top priority during every hot air balloon flight in Vilnius or Trakai. To ensure a safe, smooth, and enjoyable experience for all passengers and crew, there are specific items that are strictly prohibited before boarding and throughout the flight.
Prohibited Items You Cannot Bring on a Hot Air Balloon Ride:
Alcoholic beverages – No drinks containing alcohol are permitted on board.
Glass bottles or containers – These can break easily and pose safety risks.
Narcotic or psychotropic substances – Any form of drugs or controlled substances are forbidden.
Sharp objects – Includes knives, scissors, tools, or any item that could accidentally harm someone.
Explosive, flammable, or pressurized items – Examples: aerosol cans, fireworks, gas cartridges, lighter refills, etc.
These restrictions apply from the moment you arrive at the launch site until you land and disembark.
Bringing any of these items could result in denied boarding or cancellation of your balloon flight – without a refund. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe environment for everyone on board.
Why Are These Rules So Important?
Hot air ballooning is a peaceful, shared experience in a confined basket. There are no seat belts or solid barriers, so even a small mistake with a sharp or breakable object could cause serious injury or distraction to the pilot.
At altitude, we rely on full focus and coordination – any prohibited item could become a hazard not just for you, but for everyone aboard.
Emergency responses are limited during the flight, so prevention is essential.
Tip for Passengers:
Before heading to your flight, check your bags and pockets. If you’re unsure whether something is allowed, feel free to ask our staff during the pre-flight briefing. It's always better to leave any questionable items behind.
By following these rules, you're helping ensure a safe and smooth hot air balloon experience over Lithuania’s most iconic landscapes.
